CARE OF YOUR VIDEO

IN COLD WEATHER :
On receiving your new video, it should be taken out of the postal packing. The video box should be opened and the video left for about two hours to reach room temperature to allow any conddensation to evaporate ( Before Playing ).

ABOUT YOUR VIDEO RECORDER :
The tracking of each video recorder is different and can be considerable, the older it gets. To prevent damage to your new video tape, please follow this simple procedure.

(1) Insert your new video tape into the video recorder, the recorder will start up automatically so press the stop button immediately on the video machine to prevent it from playing.

(2) Press the Fast Forward Wind and leave the video recorder, it will fast forward wind to the end of the tape, at this point it will rewind the tape back to the beginning and then stop and wait for you to play it. What this operation achieves is, it will rewind the tape to suit the tracking on your recorder thus preventing damage to your new video tape.
If you have condensation on your video tape, it is possible that the tape could stick to the video heads in your machine and completely ruin your new video tape and damage the play back heads in your video machine, so please follow the above advice
( YOU ONLY NEED DO THE ABOVE ONCE )

(3) If you are still having a problem playing your video tape or getting interference on your video after carrying out the above instructions, then try the tracking adjustment on your video recorder.

Please be aware of tape problems if you leave your video near Hi-Fi speakers or Telephons, they produce magnetic fields and could wipe all or part of your video tape.

If in the unlikely event that you still have a problem with your new video tape, then please give Capri TV Productions a call on + 44 (0) 1223 233588 to sort it out.
